Grade V11Position summary: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Industrial Hygienist to join our Environmental Health & Safety team. In this role, you will support the identification, evaluation, and control of occupational health risks associated with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, solvents, and other materials used in drug development and manufacturing. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a safe work environment and regulatory compliance across laboratory, pilot plant, and production settings.Essential duties and responsibilities:

1. Assist in assessing employee exposure to airborne contaminants, potent compounds, and physical agents (e.g., noise, heat, radiation).
2. Conduct air sampling, surface contamination monitoring, and noise surveys using validated methods and equipment.
3. Support the implementation of containment strategies for high-potency APIs, including closed systems and barrier technologies.
4. Collaborate with toxicologists and process engineers to develop and maintain Occupational Exposure Banding (OEB) and Occupational Exposure Limits (OELs).
5. Help evaluate and validate engineering controls such as fume hoods, isolators, and local exhaust ventilation.
6. Participate in risk assessments for new processes and equipment installations.
7. Maintain industrial hygiene equipment and ensure calibration and documentation compliance.
8. Assist in preparing technical reports, exposure summaries, and regulatory documentation.
9. Monitor compliance with regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ACGIH, ISPE guidelines).
10. Contribute to employee training and awareness programs related to chemical hygiene and exposure control.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene (MIH) or a related field.
2. Foundational knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
3. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to worker safety.
4. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
6. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.
