Job Title: Assistant Manager Production Planning Control (PPC)

Department: Supply Chain Management

Reports To: Deputy Manager Supply Chain Management

Summary: Schedules for activities of employees concerned with the production of finished goods or their components by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following, but duties may be assigned.

• Interaction with Customer through Sales for monthly and forecast requirements.

• Preparation of monthly section wise shift required to meet customer requirement.

• Prepare / review monthly and Daily (Shift Wise) Production Plan based on the Customer Requirement (Casting to Assembly).

• Manpower Calculation based on Production plan

• Inventory control for FG (Finished Goods) and Bill of Process (BOP) as per Company norms.

• Raw Material Management especially Platinum Group of Metals (PGM).

• Responsible for slow-moving and Non-moving parts.

• Responsible for Design Change Notice (DCN) and implement the changeover s from material inward to outward.

• Monitor daily production plan v/s Actual and highlight to Top Management, if any issue.

• Monitor Warehouse dispatch plan v/s actual to avoid premium freight.

• Interaction with Logistics department for On time delivery to Customer.

• Monitor Customer inward plan v/s actual and co-ordinate with Sales to achieve committed targets

• Plan Schedules for new products and smooth flow of new project.

• Material master Creation.

• Co-ordination with cross function teams to achieve the production targets.

• Preparation of documents and follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) as per IATF (International Automotive Task Force) Standards & ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standards.

Complies production forecasts based on customer orders and forecasts and is the main customer contact for shipping requirements.

Makes production schedules for the plant and reviews them with production supervisors and management in production meeting.

Computes the amount of finished goods required to complete customer sales orders and to maintain the correct amount of inventory on all items produced.

Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as Finished Goods (FG) inventory, (Work In Progress (WIP) Inventory and production reports, showing the status and location of the materials.

Recommends to management and production supervisors overtime in the production areas when the production goals are not met.

Coordinates shipments with the production, quality and shipping departments based on the customer requirements. Cataler India (CIN) Proprietary

Prepare Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) time line and review with Cross Functional Teams (CFT) & Management

Coordinates the making and the issuing of production jobs for the production department with the Production Control assistant.

Manages production indication systems, such as Kanban’s, on the production floor to ensure accurate communication of and adherence to the production schedule.

Prepares long range schedules and capacity information reports as needed to plan production and to anticipate capacity constraints within the manufacturing processes.

Prepares production summaries on a monthly basis that tracks production levels scrap rates and Equipment Overall Availability (EOA), Loss of Overall Availability(LOA) results. Suggests and records process improvements to increase productivity.

Coordinates and makes schedules for initial trials for new parts and for the ramp up before the SOP dates. Also, coordinates and makes schedules for the build out of obsolete parts.

Interfaces with production team leaders and above to ensure clarity of schedule, follow-up and reaction to deviations from schedule, monitors actual production performance periodically throughout the day.

Qualification:

Diploma/BE in Mechanical Engineering

Additional Qualification:

Good Operating knowledge of EXCEL, WORD & PPT

Must: Advanced excel operating knowledge
