About the Company

Aera Gas Control Systems Pvt. Ltd. (Aera GCS)

Key Responsibilities

Develop suppliers for machined parts, plastics, sheet metal, rubber, springs, forgings, castings (PDC, SGI), and electrical components.
Identify, audit, qualify, and develop suppliers across domestic and international markets.
Handle RFQs/RFPs, cost breakdowns (ZBC, should-costing), and commercial negotiations.
Track raw material indexes (Nalco, CIAM, steel, copper, aluminium) for cost intelligence.
Ensure supplier compliance with APQP, PPAP, Run@Rate, and IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3 / ISO 9001.
Execute strategic sourcing initiatives supplier consolidation, localization, and long-term contracts.
Collaborate on tooling, capacity planning, and new project sourcing.
Monitor supplier performance (OTD, PPM, cost competitiveness) and drive continuous improvement.
Utilize digital tools and dashboards for process efficiency and reporting.

Requirements

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (mandatory).
46 years experience in automotive supplier development & sourcing (multi-commodity).
Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, supplier audits, and ERP systems (SAP / Tally ERP / equivalent).
Experience in strategic sourcing and global sourcing preferred.
Strong negotiation, costing, and analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
Excellent communication and supplier relationship management skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in automotive Tier-1 or Tier-2 companies.
Exposure to supplier development for multiple commodities.
Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, and supplier quality systems.
