As an Assistant Manager in Social Work, your role will involve providing visionary leadership to the social work team, fostering a culture of collaboration, empathy, and innovation. You will be responsible for developing and managing departmental budgets, resources, and operational plans to achieve organizational goals effectively. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing comprehensive psychosocial assessment and intervention protocols to address the emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and their families - Coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care plans that meet the holistic needs of patients throughout their palliative care journey - Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for volunteers, recognizing their contributions and providing ongoing education and opportunities for personal and professional growth - Collaborating with volunteer organizations, schools, and community groups to expand volunteer recruitment efforts and promote meaningful engagement in palliative care activities - Identifying emerging needs and trends in palliative care and social work practice, and developing innovative programs and services to meet those needs - Establishing outcome measures and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of social work interventions and initiatives - Representing the organization in relevant forums, coalitions, and policy-making bodies to influence systemic changes and improve the quality of palliative care delivery Qualifications required for this role include an MSW (Medical & Psychiatry) degree and 8-10 years of experience in social work, preferably in the palliative care field or other social causes. You should have strong clinical skills, knowledge of psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, and counselling techniques. Excellent communication skills in Malayalam and English are essential, along with interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
