A Senior Risk and Control Analyst is responsible for identifying, assessing and monitoring risks, as well as ensuring that effective controls are in place to mitigate those risks across business processes. The Senior Risk Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure that risks are properly assessed and managed in line with the organization%27s objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Analyse businesses processes to identify operational, financial, compliance and strategic risks.
Draft process maps and process narratives across business functions.
Evaluate the design and effectiveness of existing internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary with a strong focus on non-financial risk (NFR).
Review and design internal controls for effectiveness and efficiency.
Assess the adequacy of existing controls and recommend improvements.
Lead or support the testing of internal controls to ensure they are functioning as intended and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Develop and execute control testing plans, including scoping, testing, and reporting on findings.
Identify control deficiencies and track remediation plans.
Report control effectiveness metrics to management.
Provide risk and control advisory to process and control owners.
Provide training and mentorship to junior risk analysts and other team members. Share expertise and knowledge to build the team's overall risk management capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
In-depth knowledge of risk and controls management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in risk and controls management software and tools.
Proficiency in using process mapping tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Signavio, ARIS).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Bachelor's degree in risk management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Analyst (CRA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), or equivalent.
Experience in HR controls and compliance, including control design and risk assessments for payroll processing, employee onboarding/offboarding, and workforce access reviews.
Knowledge of risk taxonomy, control libraries, and NFR reporting metrics is a strong advantage.
