Job Description

As a Safety Manager in the Power/Energy industry, your role involves developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and national regulations. Your responsibilities include: - Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. - Coordinating safety training programs for employees to enhance awareness and adherence to safety protocols. - Investigating accidents and near-misses, analyzing root causes, and developing preventive measures to avoid future incidents. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Maintaining accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities. - Staying updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance safety standards. - Preparing reports for management on key safety performance indicators and recommending areas for improvement. - Leading emergency response drills and ensuring readiness to handle crisis situations effectively. - Serving as the primary point of contact for safety-related queries and providing guidance to employees at all levels. In addition, as a Safety Manager, you are expected to possess the following qualifications: - Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the Power/Energy industry. - Experience with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques. - Familiarity with safety management systems and tools for data analysis and reporting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Non-negotiable skills for this role include: - Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing safety programs. - Proven track record of driving a safety culture and reducing incidents in a similar industry. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. You should have 10-12 years of experience in the Power/Energy industry with a focus on safety management. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is required for this position.,
