Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

Coordinate with the vendors for canteen, housekeeping and horticulture and manage their service quality

¢ Ensure that the daily required manpower is deployed, for all the admin services provided by the respective vendors

¢ Ensure that the deployed manpower is fully equipped with the necessary tools and equipment, for canteen, housekeeping and horticulture

¢ Manage the quality of work delivered by all the contracted staff for admin & facilities

¢ Manage all travel and transport related bookings (company car/ cab/ train/ air etc.), including hotel/ guest house arrangements

¢ Raise timely indents for procuring any admin & facilities related material for the plant

¢ Manage operations of the scrap yard for scrap disposal including coordinating with vendors for transport, maintenance of records and obtaining verification from Accounts department

¢ Ensure effective safeguarding of man, material and machine at the plant by the security supervisors in their respective shifts including activities such as gate management, prevention & detection of theft and discipline management

¢ Ensure appropriate maintenance of safety and security related equipments such as CCTV cameras, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants etc.

¢ Gather detailed information about any unusual occurrence at the plant

¢ Undertake investigations for specific incidents based on a root cause analysis of the incident

¢ Directly manage any incidents or security lapses at the plant

¢ Ensure that the appropriate people are informed about the incident and the necessary steps are taken as per protocol

¢ Ensure that all Admin & Security related compliances for the plant are adhered to and managed effectively such as those related to environment, pollution, waste management etc.

¢ Periodically interact with the concerned authorities and government agencies to stay abreast of any relevant developments

¢ Manage liaison with the necessary authorities such as SHO, SDO, electricity board, HSIDC, horticulture department, local police, vigilance, CID, HSEB. etc. for ensuring effective functioning of the facility

¢ Prepare reports capturing any security lapses, incidents as well as admin & facilities related data and share the same with the HR Head for review

¢ Drive Admin & Security related improvement projects at the plant including customer projects as well as internal improvement initiatives, including Kaizen & 5S initiatives

¢ Ensure conduct of engagement activities and events for workers such as celebration of festivals, birthdays, recognition programs, sports events etc.

¢ Undertake specific initiatives and measures focused on identifying and resolving grievances of workers

¢ Ensure availability of medical facilities at the Plant and appropriate medical attention to employees who require the same

¢ Ensure effective management of electrical and civil requirements of the building including execution of minor projects related to infrastructure

Oversee and guide CSR related activities, identify prospective avenues for initiatives, conduct field visits to gauge actual progress and provide updates to the HOD and Corporate Management Team

Preferred candidate profile

Experinece in Handling Contract labour management more than 1000 manpower, statutory compliance, Administrative management.
