Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the after-sales function of the Quality Assurance department to ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.

  • Review contractual requirements and plan necessary resources for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of transformers at customer sites to ensure quick turnaround and customer satisfaction.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and prepare analysis reports for both customers and manufacturing teams.

  • Conduct site visits as required to resolve critical issues.

  • Define and implement procedures for after-sales service activities and provide training to team members.

  • Prepare, circulate, and present MIS reports related to after-sales services.

  • Organize periodic customer complaint review meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Coordinate with functional heads and staff to proactively address improvement areas.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, procedures, and training manuals for after-sales operations.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of transformer design and manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 17025 standards; certified internal auditor in at least two of these systems.

  • Proficiency in quality control tools, failure analysis techniques, and root cause analysis (RCA) reporting.

  • Decision-making ability in critical situations aligned with business interests.

  • Experience in handling critical and overseas customer inspections.

  • Knowledge of repair activities for distribution and power transformers.

  • Working knowledge of CRM modules and ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Preferred: Quality certifications such as CQM or Six Sigma Black Belt, experience in transformer testing, and after-sales complaint handling.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in the transformer industry.
