Description
Prepare all tender engineering deliverables, adhering to international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and BIS. Possess strong engineering knowledge of high voltage power products, particularly metal-enclosed circuit breakers, including their structure and relevant material standards (ISO, IEC, DIN, ASME). Engage with customers to address technical queries related to products and projects. Develop substation layouts, section drawings, SLDs, GAS SLDs, foundation drawings, etc., tailored to customer specifications. Perform AC/DC load calculations, heat loss/load assessments, and LV control cable sizing. Basic familiarity with secondary design aspects of substations, including CT and VT sizing, control schemes, LVAC/LVDC supplies, and interlocking, is an added advantage. Design grounding systems and create related drawings and Bills of Materials. Verify technical data sheets for primary equipment such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, and power transformers. Provide optimized and customized solutions for various substation tenders, including GIS and hybrid setups. Contribute innovative ideas to minimize engineering efforts. Plan, implement, and continuously improve the quality system, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Maintain and update project documentation according to quality processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor design progress and ensure project completion. Background: B.E/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Preference given to candidates with HV product engineering experience and training from NPTI or equivalent institutions. Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and exposure to 3D software is preferred. Familiarity with international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC). Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
