We have an urgent opening for Assistant Manager - Purchase position with our esteemed client manufacturing automobile parts MNC at Pune- Khed location. Experience - 6 to 10 years Education - BE Mechanical Interested candidates mail your updated resume at unihr02@gmail.com Job purpose The Supplier Development Process supports risk assessment and conducts technical reviews to evaluate manufacturing feasibility. Supplier selection and further execution to ensure development of robust and capable process to provide the business with the right quality of parts at the right time and at the right capacity. Job responsibilities Provide local and global purchasing team with Risk Assessment based on supplier capability. 1. Conduct Technical Reviews to assess feasibility to manufacture and measure parts. 2. Support in executing APQP to ensure compliance of Process & Product as per Requirements. 3. Support PPAP runs at Supplier end to ensure processes are ready for serial condition. 4. Conduct Run @ Rate as part of APQP to evaluate the availability of serial capacity. 5. Support in trouble shooting technical issues during APQP / PPAP phase. 6. Network with cross-functional teams to resolve bottleneck issues for on-time delivery of parts. 7. Coordinate with Purchase head on suppliers on requirements, to facilitate submission of flawless APQP / PPAPs. 8. Support New Product Development of parts for all new programs. 9. Monitoring of APQP and flawless execution as per internal/customer 10. milestones with parts availability. 11. Monitoring of PPAP and flawless execution as per internal/customer milestones. 12. Support for all new development/ localisation/ VAVE activities of outsourced parts with supplier scouting, floating RFQ/RFP, negotiations. 13. Sourcing and finalization under the guidance from Purchase head with right supplier and right price with co-ordination with CFT. 14. Ensure on-time availability of parts (initial samples/PPAP released) for various builds/milestones until SOP + 90 days. 15. The selected candidate must be willing to travel extensively in the local market as well as inter-state, as it involves development of processes and products at supplier end. 16. As cross functional teams are spread out globally, interacting time may need to adjust to different time zones. Requirements and skills Candidate must possess technical expertise / good experience in multiple manufacturing processes such as Forging, Die Casting, Iron casting, Rubber and Plastic, Machining etc... Exposure to APQP / PAPP requirements. Possess strong communication skills in all formats. Versatile/extensively practiced automotive pricing & Negotiations techniques. Able to manage time effectively Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office and ERP / inventory management Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills Good educational background
