Role Overview

The Assistant Manager Presales & Projects will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through technical solution design, project coordination, and client engagement. The role bridges the gap between sales, technical teams, and customers, ensuring the delivery of optimal IT, Networking, and Video Surveillance solutions aligned with client needs and organizational goals.

This position requires strong technical knowledge, solutioning skills, project management acumen, and customer-facing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Presales & Solution Design

  • Collaborate with the sales/tender team to understand customer requirements/RFPs and propose suitable solutions in Networking, IT Infrastructure, Video Surveillance, and Support Services.

  • Conduct requirement analysis, site surveys, and feasibility assessments.

  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, BOMs (Bill of Materials), network diagrams, and cost estimates.

  • Design end-to-end solutions involving LAN/WAN, servers, firewalls, CCTV systems, and IT support infrastructure.

  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, highlighting solution value and differentiators.

  • Support RFP/RFQ responses and ensure timely submission of technically compliant proposals.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and documentation.

  • Monitor project progress, quality standards, and customer satisfaction metrics.

  • Oversee project implementation for IT, Networking, and Surveillance solutions, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

  • Ensure adherence to SLA, quality, and safety standards during installation and commissioning.

Technical Support & Post-Implementation

  • Provide Level 1/2 technical assistance to customers during and post-deployment.

  • Facilitate project handover, training sessions, and documentation.

  • Support AMC/O&M teams with transition, configuration backups, and escalation coordination.

Vendor & Client Coordination

  • Liaise with OEMs for product selection, technical clarifications, and pricing.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and partners.

  • Participate in client meetings and reviews to provide project updates and technical insights.

Desired Candidate Profile

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Networking (LAN/WAN, Switching, Routing, Firewalls)

  • Experience in CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems, NVR, VMS, and IP-based monitoring solutions

  • Working knowledge of Server & Storage solutions, IT Infrastructure & Support Services

  • Proficiency in solution designing, costing, and BOQ preparation

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (technical + client-facing)

  • Project management, coordination, and vendor-handling skills

  • Ability to multitask, priorities, and handle time-critical assignments

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (ECE / CSE / IT / Electrical) or equivalent technical field.

  • Preferred: Postgraduate / MBA (Systems / Operations / Marketing) or relevant certification.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CCNA / CCNP / CompTIA Network+

  • Project Management Certification (PMP / PRINCE2 added advantage)

  • OEM Certifications Cisco, HP, Dell, Surveillance VMS and Camera, etc.

Experience Required:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Presales, Solution Design, or Project Coordination within Networking, IT Services, or Surveillance domains.

  • Hands-on experience in executing IT Infrastructure or Surveillance Projects is a must.
