Assistant Manager- Production Technology

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager Production Technology will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies to achieve operational excellence. The role focuses on improving production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness through innovation, automation, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Production Process & Technology Management

• Develop, implement, and maintain production processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Evaluate and introduce new manufacturing technologies, tools, and automation systems.
• Prepare process flow diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs for production operations.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Implement Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance productivity.
• Reduce cycle time, scrap rates, and production costs while maintaining product standards.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure production processes meet ISO, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Work with the quality team to address process-related non-conformities.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring issues.

Collaboration & Training

• Work closely with design, R&D, and maintenance teams for smooth technology transfer to production.
• Train operators and supervisors on new processes, tools, and safety measures.
• Support the development of skill matrices and competency improvement plans.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and process engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD, CAM, ERP, MES, and related software tools.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
