Assistant Manager

Location:

Desired Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualification: B.Sc. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 510 years of relevant experience in
Refractory Work
, preferably in the
Iron & Steel Industry.

Roles and Responsibilities

Supervise and execute refractory installation, repair, and maintenance activities in Pellet Plant operations.
Ensure proper application of refractories as per technical specifications and operational requirements.
Monitor and control refractory consumption, performance, and lifecycle.
Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards during all refractory-related jobs.
Provide technical support and assistance during shutdowns, breakdowns, and emergency refractory works.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and statutory norms.
Maintain proper documentation, work reports, and performance records related to refractory activities.
Support inspection of lining, wear monitoring, and recommendation of corrective actions.

Any Other Skill / Attribute:

Sound knowledge of Pellet Plant equipment and refractory materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and refractory layouts.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and work permit systems.

Personality Traits:

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A keen listener with proactive thinking.
Leadership qualities with decision-making ability.
