Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for the market linkage vertical of the program throughout the state. Specific tasks include:

Community Engagement to actively participate in the agriculture value chain

  • Strengthening of the FPCs through enrolment of new members (especially women farmer) and routing their produces through FPC to scale up the business of FPC.
  • Ensure Community mobilization to support other program components related to Training and Capacity Building, participation of member farmers in procurement and market related activities.
  • Design and Conduct ToT programs for internal teams for strengthening Community Institutions (e.g. Farmers producer groups, Farmers Committee, Steering Committees and Board of Directors) inclusive of Farmers Producer Company (FPC).
  • To empower the women by increasing their participation in FPC and in the board. Facilitate in the training of these women and related activities to empower them.
  • Ensure proper ecosystem between entrepreneurs and FPCs so that the farmers are able to get right quality of products and services at their door steps.
  • Promotion of regenerative agriculture in program FPO's

FPO Support in the Program areas

  • Help and support the FPCs and TechnoServe senior team members in planning, executing and achieving different quantitative parameters such as Turnover of Business, Diversification of Revenue streams, Institutional Finance raised etc.
  • Establish operational systems for smooth functioning of FPC in consultation with the stakeholders.
  • Backward linkage support to Farmer Producer Companies.
  • Overall facilitation of project in district related to project implementation, monitoring and data management.
  • Stakeholder management and FPOs management.
  • Institutional Strenthening, Bolstering Governance and Compliance, Access to finance, Forward backward linkage strengthening.
  • Stakeholder management and effective program implementation and monitoring.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar position with an extensive knowledge in agriculture input sector and marketing of commodity
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team, spread across diverse geographies and to deliver in a time bound program
  • Familiarity with other business disciplines such as finance, market research, sales and planning
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and an ability to build a convincing argument.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Qualification:

    MBA/Masters in Rural Development, Agribusiness or Bachelors degree in related fields.
