Assistant Manager - Maintenance

Group: Functional Responsibilities

• Monitor the overall functioning of machines in all manufacturing units to maintain efficiency and reliability
• Support the Factory Head in developing the annual preventive maintenance plan based on assessments of the machine utilization and statutory requirements to ensure that the factory operations are not hindered and the overall production strategy is being met.
• Interact with the Factory Head to provide updates on the maintenance activities being carried out to ensure the machines remain operational.
• Maintain the efficiency parameters and safety of factory equipment.
• Prepare report with technical recommendations for equipment & services to the Factory Head.
• Prepare the machine list for critical and other operations in Factories PAN India.
• Consolidate and monitor the machines audit and capex verification.
• Break down maintenance performance with machine suppliers.
• Control and manage AMC contract with all the machine suppliers.
• Follow up Payments for the machine work and the machine replacements.
• Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

Group: Internal Process

• Ensure that all activities of the Maintenance Department adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop relationship, network with counterparts and other organizations in similar industry to leverage leading practices & learning to improve departmental processes.
• Ensure adherence to all production processes, policies, procedures and standards.

Group: People Development

• Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in-house capabilities for the employees across the group
• Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members
• Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities
• Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall engagement and motivation
