Job Description

Role Summary:

The Logistics Executive/Manager Tanker Operations will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of company-owned and hired tankers for the transportation of fuel oil, used oil, base oil, and recycled products. The role focuses on operational efficiency, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with internal teams and logistics partners to ensure seamless and safe movement of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily

    tanker operations

    , including deployment, maintenance, and turnaround management.
  • Ensure all tankers are

    licensed, permitted, and compliant

    with

    CPCB/SPCB

    and hazardous waste transport regulations.
  • Plan and optimize

    routes, load scheduling, and delivery frequency

    for timely and efficient service.
  • Monitor and control logistics costs

    fuel, tolls, maintenance, and third-party charges

    – and implement cost-reduction measures.
  • Coordinate with transport contractors, drivers, and plant/sales/accounts teams for dispatch, collections, and billing.
  • Track tanker movement through

    GPS/manual reports

    and resolve route deviations or delays.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop new transporters PAN India

    to ensure

    effective cost and timely delivery performance

    .
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure

    safety, leak prevention, and documentation compliance

    .
  • Maintain updated records for

    licenses, insurance, PUC, permits, road tax, and fitness certificates

    .
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with logistics providers, fuel suppliers, and service partners.
  • Resolve transportation and customer issues promptly while ensuring delivery reliability.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of

    tanker logistics

    ,

    fuel and oil transportation

    , and

    used oil collection/recycling

    operations.
  • Familiarity with

    hazardous waste transport and environmental compliance

    .
  • Proven experience in

    developing new transport partners PAN India

    for cost and delivery optimization.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in

    ERP systems, Google Sheets, and GPS tracking tools

    .
  • Graduate/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Mechanical Engineering with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
