Job Description

To ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical systems, equipment, and utilities in the used oil refinery by overseeing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with statutory norms.

Role & responsibilities

Calculate
cable ratings
and select appropriate cables for different loads.
Perform
ampere calculations
for single-phase and three-phase systems.
Install and troubleshoot
star-delta connections
for motors.
Oversee
house wiring, cable, lighting circuits, and repairing of electrical fittings
in the plant.
Maintain and troubleshoot
starters (DOL, Star-Delta, Soft starters)
.
Operate and maintain
VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
for motor control and energy efficiency.
Inspect, operate, and maintain
transformers, DG sets, MCC panels, UP, pumps, heaters, and motors
.
Electrical Panel Operation & Maintenance
Instrumentation & Automation (Basic)
Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
Tool handling - Megger (Insulation Testing), Multimeter Clamp, Meter Earth Tester, Basic hand tools set
Ability to handle
hazardous area equipment (Flameproof fittings)

Required Skill

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
