Role Summary/Job Specifications:

  • Handle end to end management of consumer litigation cases filed against the Company across the different districts, states and National Consumer commissions.
  • Managing Insurance Ombudsman cases
  • Preparing Self Contained notes after receiving opinion from the respective internal stakeholders
  • Drafting and vetting of Written statements, evidence and other necessary pleadings
  • Satisfaction of Ombudsman Awards / filing of Writs before the jurisdictional High Court.
  • Co-ordinate with Advocates for filing replies, evidence and appeals within statutory timelines
  • Review and analyze Court orders recommend further legal action (appeal / review / settlement or compliance)
  • Assess pre-ligation grievances related to claim repudiation, delay, policy servicing issues, etc.
  • Recommend settlements or corrective measures that reduce potential litigation
  • Handle due diligence of property related matters and IPR issues
  • Providing legal Advise to internal stake holders based on facts and supporting documents ensuring timely guidance aligned with legal, regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams for handling disputed cases, high risk or sensitive claims
  • Maintain litigation tracker, case summaries and necessary records.

  • Ability to analyze FIR s, PM Reports, hospital records and treatment papers, etc. to determine liability
  • Good legal research
  • Good exposure to MS Office
