Job Description

Assist in managing the daily kitchen utility operations and staff including dish room operations, night cleaning, back dock cleaning, banquet plating, and food running. Your goal is to enhance guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget. Education and Experience: - High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. OR - 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year of experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. Your Responsibilities: - Order and manage necessary supplies ensuring workers have what they need. - Schedule events, programs, and activities, and monitor material inflow. - Conduct inventories and report shortages. - Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for efficiency and standards compliance. - Enforce cleaning routines, loss prevention policies, and proper use of equipment. - Verify equipment and compliance with laws and regulations. - Keep the team informed of relevant information timely. Lead the Kitchen Team: - Use interpersonal skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members. - Assist in managing employees and day-to-day operations. - Maintain productivity levels and celebrate team successes. - Communicate performance expectations and build mutual trust among team members. - Manage controllable expenses and strive for service improvement. Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: - Attend meetings to enhance service quality. - Manage day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations. - Focus on guest satisfaction and continuous improvement. Manage Human Resource Activities: - Provide guidance to subordinates, set performance standards, and monitor performance. - Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting employees. - Review employee satisfaction results and address concerns promptly. - Ensure fair administration of property policies and proper training for utility staff. - Participate in employee discipline procedures.
