Assistant Manager- Indirect Taxation

As a Tax Consultant at our company, you will be responsible for providing in-house tax consulting to various business teams covering wholesale and retail business. This includes liaising with stakeholders within India and Global tax teams. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your in-depth tax technical knowledge to evaluate and advise business initiatives. - Ensure indirect tax compliance under all applicable tax laws in India, SEA, and KSA. - Conduct research on Indian GST and other indirect tax issues, working closely with taxing authorities and external advisers. - Develop and evaluate GST and other indirect tax planning opportunities and strategies. - Create operational implementation work plans to support tax planning opportunities. - Stay updated on past, present, and potential future indirect tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures, and court decisions. - Monitor the applicability of various regulatory requirements continuously. - Collaborate with tech teams to ensure proper recording of information in systems for tax compliance, audit, and litigation purposes. - Manage various audits such as Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, GST Audit, and Due Diligence. - Coordinate with the Finance, Procurement, and Vendor Managers team. - Demonstrate effective team management and coordination skills. Qualifications Required: - Degree in law or accounting, chartered/cost accountant (or equivalent). - Minimum of 3+ years of experience in indirect taxes with a public accounting firm or in the industry.
