Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to oversee accounting, financial planning, MIS, and compliance for our SaaS business. The role requires strong expertise in Zoho Books, MIS reporting, and SaaS-specific financial metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, CAC). The candidate will work closely with management to drive financial discipline, ensure compliance, and enable data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

• Own the end-to-end accounting function in Zoho Books, including GL, AR/AP, revenue recognition, expense booking, and reconciliations.
• Ensure SaaS-specific revenue recognition (deferred revenue, subscription billing, multi-currency invoicing).
• Manage GST, TDS, ROC, and statutory filings in coordination with auditors.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closure activities with accuracy and timeliness.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare and present Monthly MIS reports covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and variances vs. budget.
• Develop SaaS-specific KPI dashboards (ARR, MRR, churn rate, LTV:CAC, cohort analysis, burn rate).
• Provide insights into unit economics, cash runway, and cost optimization.
• Partner with business heads to prepare board-level presentations.
• Financial Planning & Control
• Implement strong internal controls for revenue, receivables, vendor payments, and expenses.
• Forecast cash flows, budgets, and financial models for growth planning.
• Monitor collections and working capital management.
• Support fundraising / investor reporting by preparing financial packs and due diligence materials.

Zoho Books & Automation

• Customize Zoho Books workflows for invoicing, approvals, reminders, and reporting.
• Integrate Zoho Books with payment gateways, CRM, payroll, and subscription management tools.
• Leverage Zoho Analytics for advanced MIS dashboards and automation.

Qualifications & Skills

• CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA with 4 to 7 years experience (preferably in SaaS / Tech / IT services/Product and FMCG).
• Hands-on expertise in Zoho Books (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of MIS reporting, SaaS metrics, and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, Zoho Analytics; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and ability to work with founders/CXO-level stakeholders.
