Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely entries of purchases, sales, contracts, income, bills, and expenses in Tally.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions.
  • Handle employee wise bookings and expense records in and cost center wise accounting in Tally.
  • Reconcile GST, TDS, and bank accounts on a regular basis.
  • Resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and ensure all records are accurate.
  • Handle timely calculation, filing, and payment of GST returns (GSTR1, GSTR3B, etc.).
  • Review GSTR2 for input credit and collaborate with consultants for any related work.
  • Oversee GST working and payments to ensure compliance.
  • Calculate and ensure timely filing of TDS returns.
  • Reconcile TDS, handle related documentation, and manage timely payments.
  • Provide daily financial reports to the MD on purchases, sales, bank balance, cash balance, debtors, and creditors.
  • Prepare monthly stock statements and QIS reports for submission to the bank.
  • Manage all correspondence related to banks, including bank guarantees, demand drafts (DD), fixed deposits (FD),

and letters of credit.

  • Ensure compliance with all CC account processes and follow up on renewals.
  • Handle bank payments, reconciliation, and compliance with payment procedures.
  • Prepare bank related documents such as DDs, EMDs, FDRs, etc.
  • Process credit card and utility bill payments, EMIs, property taxes, and salary.
  • Maintain detailed bank and cash books, along with financial records for any subordinate company.
  • File inwards/outwards documents promptly and maintain proper records.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and manage communication with the Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Handle the generation of E way bills for logistics and maintain compliance payments as required.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Address audit queries and provide timely responses to CA.

Preferred candidate profile

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.

  • Strong communication skills for liaising with banks, auditors, and consultants.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Working experience in Tally Prime for accounting.
