Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager to join our Advisory team. The candidate will support advisory services for clients across industries, helping businesses manage their financial strategy, reporting, planning, and compliance needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, client management skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in delivering end-to-end services to clients, including financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, Tax compliances and filing, all applicable compliances.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, dashboards, and board presentations.
  • Oversee accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely close processes for client engagements.
  • Work closely with clients to optimize their internal financial controls, systems, and processes.
  • Perform financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development to assist in strategic decision-making.
  • Manage client relationships, maintain communication, and ensure deliverables are met on time and at high standards.
  • Coordinate with auditors, bankers, investors, and other external stakeholders as needed on behalf of clients.
  • Support in due diligence, fundraising advisory, and transaction support services where applicable.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments affecting financial operations and advise clients accordingly.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members and interns where applicable.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

  • Semi qualified CA
  • Prior experience with consulting, or reputed CA advisory firms is highly desirable.

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent Excel, financial modeling, and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, NetSuite, SAP).
  • Ability to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to startup, SME, or early-stage company environments.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, M&A, or due diligence projects.
  • Familiarity with tax, regulatory, and compliance matters affecting private businesses.
