Assistant Manager - Engineering

Purpose/Objective

Buildcast is seeking a talented and experienced Draughtsman with 7-10 years of experience in the Precast industry to join our team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our precast projects, ensuring precision and accuracy in design and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Develop detailed drawings and specifications for precast components based on project requirements. Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project needs and objectives. Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations. Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and material schedules. Review and revise drawings based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs. Stay updated on advancements in precast design and construction techniques. Assist in resolving design-related issues during the project lifecycle. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting department. Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions.

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of precast construction methods and materials.,Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.,Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.,Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.

Qualifications and Experience

08-14 years of experience in precast industry. Participating in design coordination meetings and providing technical support as needed • Assisting in the development and maintenance of drawing standards and procedures • Remaining updated with the latest software and technologies for drafting and design • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the precast design and production processes Education Qualification • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field • Advanced certification in AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software Certification required Advanced certification in AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software is required.
