Assistant Manager - Electrical Design (MHE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for material handling equipment of bulk material handling industries such as Stacker-Reclaimer, Wagon tippler, Crusher, feeders, Conveyors etc.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Select appropriate electrical components including motors, sensors, relays, PLCs, and drives.
• Develop control logic and interface designs for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate automation and control systems.
• Ensure compatibility between electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS standards).
• Prepare documentation for regulatory approvals and certifications.
• Support prototype development and perform electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Validate system performance and ensure reliability under operational conditions.
• Assist in commissioning and field support during equipment installation.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and user manuals.
• Update design documentation based on revisions and feedback.
• Work closely with mechanical design, production, and service teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and installation teams.
• Coordinate with vendors for component selection and specification compliance.
• Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and industry trends in electrical design and automation.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates having strong working experience of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering of Bulk Material Handling Equipment. Experience of MHE Production Automation of Minimum 5 Machines.
