Role & responsibilities CHP Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Lead day-to-day operations of CHP ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient coal unloading, stacking, reclaiming, and bunker feeding. Operate and maintain equipment such as: Wagon Tipplers, Track Hoppers Belt Conveyors Crushers, Paddle Feeders, Plough Feeders Stacker-cum-Reclaimers, Grizzly Feeders Ensure minimum demurrage and optimal belt conveyor utilization. Maximize CHP availability and reduce breakdowns through robust maintenance practices (preventive, predictive & condition-based). Monitor KPIs such as Plant Availability, Equipment Reliability, MTBF/MTTR, Auxiliary Power Consumption, and TPM indicators. Plan and execute annual maintenance shutdowns and overhauls. Manpower & Shift Management Supervise multi-shift operations ensuring adequate skilled manpower for continuous running. Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, technicians, and contract staff. Develop SOPs and ensure adherence to operating procedures and safety protocols. Conduct skill enhancement and refresher training for O&M teams. Spares, Inventory & Vendor Coordination Forecast and manage inventory of critical and fast-moving mechanical spares and consumables. Develop local vendor ecosystem for faster procurement and cost control. Maintain spares history, equipment records, and lifecycle cost data. Ensure compliance with procurement processes, inspection protocols, and inventory documentation. Operational Inputs During Projects & Modifications Provide O&M-centric feedback during new system installations or upgrades. Participate in FATs, commissioning protocols, layout reviews, and integration testing. Support retrofitting, debottlenecking, and capacity enhancement initiatives. Preferred candidate profile B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering 8-15 years in O&M CHP systems in thermal power plants (150 MW and above)

Key Responsibilities : Design electrical systems for material handling equipment of bulk material handling industries such as Stacker-Reclaimer, Wagon tippler, Crusher, feeders, Conveyors etc. Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Select appropriate electrical components including motors, sensors, relays, PLCs, and drives. Develop control logic and interface designs for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate automation and control systems. Ensure compatibility between electrical and mechanical systems. Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS standards). Prepare documentation for regulatory approvals and certifications. Support prototype development and perform electrical testing and troubleshooting. Validate system performance and ensure reliability under operational conditions. Assist in commissioning and field support during equipment installation. Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and user manuals. Update design documentation based on revisions and feedback. Work closely with mechanical design, production, and service teams to ensure seamless integration. Provide technical support to manufacturing and installation teams. Coordinate with vendors for component selection and specification compliance. Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost reduction. Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and industry trends in electrical design and automation. Preferred candidate profile Candidates having strong working experience of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering of Bulk Material Handling Equipment. Experience of MHE Production Automation of Minimum 5 Machines.
