Assistant Manager - Distribution and Logistics Operations

Role & responsibilities

- Proactive identification of process improvement projects (end-to-end conceptualization, project management and implementation) which lead to measurable improvement in DC and Distribution metrics

- Conducting Process Audits (Last mile, Middle mile, Order Processing, Inventory, Inbound) and report the gaps/non-conformance to SCM Process Team.

- Preparing annual Quality audit plans, carrying out periodic self-inspections and providing performance reports that include observations and recommendations.

- Work with the DC and Distribution teams to ensure internal and external audit compliance and timely actions on OFIs if any

- Supporting roll-out of the new systems (TMS, WMS, OMS/SAP-New enhancements) in DCs and XDs.

- Drive Continuous Improvement - Quantitative and qualitative to improve Supply Chain costs, quality, and service

- Handle Day to Day exceptions in OMS, SAP, TMS and coordinate with Teach Team for resolution.

- Working with cross-functional teams to identify in the pain areas in forward and reverse logistics and coordinate with SCM Process Team in the following activities

- Extensive Business Requirement Developments

• Identifying the test scenarios in line with the business requirements.
• User Acceptance Testing for new developed features / systems and provide sign off for Go-live from Business side (SCM perspective)

- Develops analytics that support team KPI improvement and deep dive analysis to identify root cause and implement corrective action

- Reassess KPIs & operations metrics/SLAs & design Automated Dashboards for centralized performance monitoring

- Identifying training gaps in the existing process and coordinating with L&OD Team for on time training.

Skills Required

- Relevant experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Transport Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management system (WMS)

- Knowledge of business processes, industry standards, best practices, customization and developments

- Comfortable with ambiguity, can handle the unexpected with flexibility

- Highly driven, motivated and a very good team player
