Assistant Manager - Design & Development

We are looking for a Design Engineer for our plastic products mould manufacturing division:

Assistant Manager Design & Development

• A deep understanding of Mold manufacturing, plastic materials, molding processes, and machinery used in production. This includes knowledge of injection molding, blow molding, and other relevant techniques.
• Proficiency in planning, executing, and overseeing projects. This involves managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Able to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions which is crucial in a complex manufacturing environment where unexpected challenges can arise.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, instructions, and feedback to team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• The capability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This includes providing guidance, support.
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that products meet required specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Able to think creatively and provide new solutions or improvements in product design and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize production processes.
• Understanding customer needs and ensuring that products meet or exceed their expectations by incorporating client feedback into the development process.
• The ability to adapt to new technologies, processes, and market demands.

• Expertise in Design software such as Creo, AutoCAD etc. along with MS office tools.

Roles & Responsibilities.

• Understanding the requirements received from S & M / end user
• Creating multiple concepts as per defined Scope

  using design software such as Creo, Autocad etc.

• Reviewing the concepts and finalizing with the CFT
• Review of concept with stakeholders & approval
• Post approval, getting 3D prototypes made for submission & approval
• Creating project reports & Presentations for approval
• Preparing documents for IPR of Products
• After ordering, product design review with Mold & machine suppliers
• Final changes & approval to suit mold & machine manufacturing (Printing & Automation machines)
• Mold design review with Supplier
• Multiple visits to supplier end for status review
• Attending mold & machine trials internally & externally
• Getting the parts tried internally to check feasibility in the inhouse machines
• Reviewing the inspection & validation reports
• Changes or corrections in coordination with design as per trial feedback
• Communicating & discussing the feedbacks with supplier for its rectification
• FAT of molds & machines at Supplier end
• FAT of molds & machines in AGI
• Approval of project and handover to Production
• Incremental improvements in products as needed.
