About the Role

Biomedical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair of all biomedical equipment.
  
• Supervise and coordinate activities of the biomedical engineering team.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of service records, equipment history, and compliance reports.
  
• Monitor equipment performance and downtime trends; initiate corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and service providers for equipment servicing and technical support.
  
• Participate in budgeting and procurement planning for biomedical equipment and spare parts.
  
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as NABH, JCI, and ISO.
  
• Conduct training programs for clinical and technical staff on equipment usage and safety protocols.
  
• Develop and implement SOPs and quality control measures for biomedical operations.
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Qualification:

  B.E/B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline

• Experience:

• Assistant Manager:

  4 years & above of relevant experience

• Deputy Manager:

  5 years & above of relevant experience

• Manager:

  8years & above of relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and critical care equipment
  
• Familiarity with hospital-based biomedical engineering operations
  
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards (NABH/JCI)
  
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting, and use of CMMS or hospital ERP systems
  
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  

Preferred Competencies

• Experience in a tertiary care or multi-specialty hospital environment
  
• Exposure to capital equipment planning and technology assessment
  
• Certifications in healthcare technology management
