Designation: Assistant Manager – Data Engineering

Level: L3
Experience: 5 to 8 years
Location: Bengaluru

Job Description:

We are seeking a ML Engineering Expert with 5-8 years of experience in designing, developing and operationalizing advanced machine learning solutions including models for classification, forecasting, and NLP.

The ideal candidate will be adept at using their expertise to translate complex business challenges into data-driven solutions and deliver measurable impact). This is a hands-on role for a professional with a strong background in the Databricks Lakehouse platform.

Responsibilities:

Design and Implement Models: Design, develop, and deploy a variety of ML models, including those for classification, forecasting, and NLP, on the Databricks platform.
Data Preparation & Analysis: Perform comprehensive Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and feature engineering on large, complex datasets using Databricks.
ML Lifecycle Management: Leverage MLflow to manage the full model lifecycle, from experiment tracking and versioning to production deployment.
Model Optimization & Deployment: Optimize models for performance and interpretability, with proven experience in deploying models to production in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Stay Current: Continuously learn and apply emerging ML techniques and new Databricks capabilities to improve solutions.

Skills:

5-8 years in a Data Science role, with hands-on experience in building and applying ML/AI solutions.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
ML Libraries: Expertise in key machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Platform Expertise: Advanced expertise in the Databricks Lakehouse platform and MLflow.

Soft Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
