Designation: Assistant Manager – Data Engineering

Level: L3

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Airtable Developer to join the Client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining Airtable solutions to support business operations and data management needs. The role requires a strong understanding of relational database concepts, automation logic, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.

We can provide onboarding for Airtable automations, but the person should be comfortable applying logical thinking to build and refine them.

Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain Airtable bases, ensuring effective use of relational database features (linking records, lookups, and rollups).
Develop and optimize formulas within Airtable to meet business requirements and enhance workflows.
Build and troubleshoot Airtable automations to streamline processes; apply logical thinking to refine and improve system efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Airtable solutions.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across Airtable environments.
Create documentation and provide training to business users for effective adoption of Airtable solutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process automation and innovation.
Support custom scripting needs (JavaScript) where applicable to extend Airtable functionality.
Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operations.
Present solutions and updates in a clear and structured manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills:

Technical Skills
Familiarity with relational databases, including linking records, lookups, and rollups.
Ability to write formulas (similar to Excel; different from DAX).
Experience supporting automation build and troubleshooting.
JavaScript knowledge is a plus, as we occasionally use it for scripting (not a core requirement).
Soft Skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Creative, proactive, and builder mindset.

Effective communication skills.
