Job Description

As Assistant Manager - Confirmations, your role involves taking responsibility for client service and operational execution tasks. You must ensure risk control and enhanced controls are maintained in accordance with regulations by following defined procedures and exercising judgement based on practice and experience. To excel in this role, you should have previous experience in: - Being degree educated with relevant experience, preferably in an OTC Derivatives environment. - Possessing sound technical knowledge of derivative products within your remit. - Having a fair understanding of end-to-end processes in Confirmations and/or Settlements. - Experience in a High Volume House and client service environment. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Effective communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships with Premier clients, fluency in English. - Strong numerical skills with analytical problem-solving abilities. - Experience in affirming Derivative trades with internal and external counterparties. - Production of ISDA paper trade confirmations for vanilla and some complex Derivative trades. - Validation and matching of paper and electronic trade confirmations, including DSMatch. You may be evaluated on key critical skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology, along with job-specific technical skills. The purpose of your role is to support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution. Accountabilities include: - Supporting various business areas with day-to-day initiatives. - Collaborating with teams to align and integrate operational processes. - Identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations. - Developing and implementing operational procedures and controls. - Creating reports and presentations on operational performance. - Identifying industry trends and implementing best practices. - Participating in projects to improve operational efficiency. As an Analyst, you are expected to: - Perform activities in a timely manner and to a high standard. - Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and experience. - Lead and supervise a team, guiding professional development and allocating work. - Have an impact on related teams within the area. - Partner with other functions and business areas. - Take responsibility for end results of teams" operational activities. - Escalate breaches of policies/procedures appropriately. - Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls. - Maintain an understanding of how your sub-function integrates with the organization.
