Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Accounts & Administration will support the overall finance and administrative functions of the organisation. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, assisting with statutory compliance, and managing administrative operations to ensure smooth office functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and supervise a team of 3–4 executives.
  • Allocate work effectively and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks.
  • Ensure books of accounts are updated accurately and on time in Tally ERP.
  • Oversee all accounting entries, including purchase, sales, bank, and vendor invoices.
  • Review and verify daily transactions recorded by the team.
  • Prepare and present various reports and financial summaries as required by management.
  • Assist in the preparation and finalisation of accounts at month-end and year-end.
  • Ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances.
  • Keep track of any notices or requirements from government or regulatory authorities.
  • Coordinate with the reporting authority to ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
  • Support the reporting authority and external auditors during audits.
  • Maintain documentation and records to support all accounting and compliance activities.
  • Identify gaps in accounting processes and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.

Administration Responsibilities

  • Oversee general office administration and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

6–10 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles.
