Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Selection of Technology & Splitting of packages in consultation with EVP (Thermal Project)
Finalization of Tech Spec Sheets & evaluation of bids in co-ordination with consultant
Selection of vendors, Preparation of QAP, FAT etc. in consultation with Head Project
The candidate will extensively coordinate between the Consultant, OEMs and site team for release of drawings in time for all the packages.
Clarify on the interface battery limits when multiple vendors work in one area
Additional O&M Experience in power plant is desirable, and he should be able to integrate O&M learnings into detailed engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the detailed design & engineering of the boiler, Turbine Generator, electrical systems, Instrumentation systems, water & fuel systems, CHP & AHP and intake water systems.
Responsible for the detailed review of the design drawings submitted by the OEMs & bring amendments wherever required.
Ensure proper construction drawings reach the site as per sequential flow of work & materials.
Candidate should have been involved in the Engineering of 600 MW or higher capacity thermal projects.

Preferred candidate profile

They should have handled Engineering of at least one large power project.
Experience with 600 MW or higher size is a must
