Job Description

You will be working at Springer Nature Group, a renowned organization that facilitates discovery for researchers, educators, clinicians, and other professionals globally. As part of the Discover team, you will play a crucial role in processing manuscripts from submission to acceptance and supporting Editorial Board Members (EBMs) throughout the publication process. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the overall pipeline of the Journal, conducting Quality Checks on manuscripts, inviting EBMs and Reviewers, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring smooth communication between parties involved in the publication process. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee the pipeline of the Journal and process manuscripts from submission to final decision - Conduct Quality Checks on manuscripts to ensure compliance with requirements - Invite EBMs and Reviewers for peer review activities - Support Editors throughout the process and maintain excellent working relationships - Collaborate with Journal Editorial staff for process improvement and new initiatives - Handle email correspondence between parties involved in the publication process - Assess decision recommendations and communicate final decisions to authors - Monitor manuscript progress and provide necessary support to reach final decisions - Mentor and support new team members - Assist in Technical Checks at submission stages - Provide inputs for process improvement and TAT reduction - Conduct training and support for new team members **Key Relationships:** - Managing Editors - EBMs/ Guest Editors - Senior Editors - Team Manager - Authors - Team Members - Senior Leadership **Qualifications Required:** - Experience of 2+ years with a minimum of 1 year in SNTPS - Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills - Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite - Knowledge of performance metrics - Organizational and time-management skills - Strong analytical and logical reasoning ability - Decision-making skills - Masters degree or equivalent in Life science/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Computer Science/Economics/Social science Springer Nature values diversity, inclusivity, and empowers its employees to bring their differences to work.
