Design Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of designers responsible for

  strip layouts

  ,

  progressive and stage tools

  ,

  welding fixtures

  ,

  gauges

  , and

  checking fixtures

  .
• In-depth knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes, including press operations (Blanking, Bending, Piercing, Forming), welding techniques (such as spot welding, MIG welding, TIG welding), and assembly methods.
• Review and approve CAD drawings and validate design feasibility from manufacturing and cost perspectives.
  
• Coordinate with production, NPD, and tool room for timely and accurate execution of tooling projects.
  
• Interface with OEM customers for design approvals and technical discussions.
  
• Implement design standards and drive continuous improvements in tool design for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
  
• Mentor junior engineers and foster skill development across the design function.

Eligibility:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool Engineering.

Design & Development of Process, Tool & Dies, Fixtures and Gauges of 2 Wheeler parts

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

Strong understanding of sheet metal materials, properties, and fabrication techniques.

Good Knowledge in Computers, MS Office (Excel, Power Point)

Good Communication and Presentation Skills

Good Initiator and Flexible
