Key Responsibilities:· Lead the quality control function across the plant for all CAPEX and standard machine manufacturing projects.· Develop and enforce quality control standards and testing procedures in accordance with industry certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.).· Manage incoming, in-process, and final product inspections for components and finished machines.· Oversee calibration and maintenance of quality inspection tools (e.g., CMMs, gauges, precision instruments).· Collaborate with Engineering and Production on first article inspections, process validations, and design reviews.· Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA) for internal quality issues and customer complaints.· Prepare detailed quality reports, trend analysis, and dashboards to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.· Support supplier quality development for key CAPEX components and assemblies.· Train QC and shop floor staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.· Participate in CAPEX planning by providing quality requirements for new machine lines, equipment, and installations.· Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory guidelines related to machine manufacturing. Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.· 8 to 10 years of experience in quality control within the machine or heavy equipment manufacturing industry, with 3+ years in a managerial role.· Strong knowledge of CAPEX project environments and long-cycle manufacturing processes.· Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.· Experience with quality tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D, PPAP, APQP, etc.· Skilled in using inspection equipment: CMM, calipers, micrometers, and surface finish testers.· Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and quality management systems (QMS).· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
