Assistant Design Manager

As an experienced candidate in the pump industry with a background in manufacturing sectors of oil and gas, you will play a crucial role in component level design and equipment. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing machine parts and creating drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software. - Applying knowledge of manufacturing processes for machine and fabricated parts in the design and drawing phase. - Conducting engineering calculations and demonstrating a basic understanding of material grades used in the engineering industry. - Ensuring the accuracy of drawings and attending technical discussions with customers and vendors. - Visiting customers and factories as needed and utilizing measuring instruments effectively. - Coordinating with the design team on project and product timelines, reviewing and approving drawings, designs, and product manuals. - Contributing to R&D efforts by collaborating with engineers to develop new products that meet design and manufacturing requirements. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions seamlessly into the manufacturing process and optimize design processes for efficiency and cost reduction. - Managing comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and revisions for future reference. - Demonstrating proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA analysis software to provide informed input into the design process. - Identifying and addressing design challenges through proactive problem-solving and innovative solutions aligned with project objectives. - Supporting the DGM Engineering in overseeing the design team, monitoring project progress, and preparing technical data for meetings. - Monitoring the ISO system and approving technical documents for bought-out items. - Showcasing leadership skills by effectively managing and building the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
