Description
You will be responsible for driving wellness initiatives for both mental and physical health of the University students and employees as a part of the vertical Wellness within the office of the Dean of Students. Your role will involve providing psychological counseling, monitoring medical facilities, developing psychological tools and programs, and overseeing the overall Wellness services. - Delivering personally and overseeing the Wellness services for students and employees through counseling and the medical health center. - Helping develop psychological tools and programs to assist students in coping with anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship issues. - Identifying serious mental and emotional issues, taking appropriate action, and providing referrals when necessary. - Providing guidance to the team of counselors/psychotherapists and leading support groups. - Designing and coordinating programs for new students during orientation. - Managing the Office of the Dean of Students including documentation, reports, budgeting, and web content. - Creating a culture of trust, confidentiality, sensitivity, empathy, and compassion for the student community. - Evaluating wellness needs within the University community and planning to address them. - Anticipating student growth and planning team structures accordingly. - Ensuring student-centric initiatives become best practices. - Driving Parent Engagement initiatives. - Performing any other role assigned by the Dean of Students and the Vice Chancellor. - Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. - Strong communication, interpersonal, data management, and organizational skills. - Minimum 15 years of experience as a counselor. - Experience at a prominent educational institution or global exposure preferred.
