Assistant Accountant

Role Overview: As a local candidate from Jalandhar, your main responsibilities will include maintaining and managing general ledger accounts, performing bookkeeping duties such as recording daily financial transactions, preparing and posting accurate journal entries, conducting bank reconciliations to ensure financial statement accuracy, assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, and collaborating with other departments to provide financial insights. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and manage general ledger accounts - Perform bookkeeping duties, including recording daily financial transactions - Prepare and post accurate journal entries - Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial statement accuracy - Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies - Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation - Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping - Strong knowledge of ledger accounts, journal entries, and bank reconciliation - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Strong organizational and time management abilities - Good communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as cell phone reimbursement.
