Assembly Process Engineer

As an Assembly Process Engineer at our company located in Chennai, you will be responsible for various tasks including Virtual Build validation, Time study, Torque Audit, and Build Book creation. Your primary duties will involve: - Implementing process/tool/equipment modifications to support Engineering Changes and Process Change requests at Engine / Battery / chargers / Motors / Locomotives Assembly - Creating/updating manufacturing process documents such as PFD, PFMEA, Safety FMEA, Control Plan, Standard Work, and Standard Operating Procedures - Configuring and updating Standard Work and Torque tools in the Manufacturing Execution Support system (PINpoint/CAPP+/MESA) - Creating/updating process routing in SAP (CBS) - Conducting Engine/Loco Assembly/Disassembly process audits and working with cross-functional teams to resolve audit findings within stipulated time - Conducting Ergonomic Studies for Engine Assembly process, identifying gaps, and implementing suitable solutions to eliminate ergonomic risks - Supporting continuous improvement drive by implementing improvement suggestions received from cross-functional teams The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the below technical skillset and hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Additionally, you should possess the following skills to succeed in this job: - Good understanding of Assembly process - Previous work experience in Virtual Build validation, Time study, Torque Audit, Build Book creation, and being a team player This is a Full-time, Permanent position and is open to Fresher candidates as well.
