About the Organization:

Swaniti Initiative is a fourteen-year-old social enterprise that is working at the intersection of climate, governance and last mile delivery. We believe that while the willingness and resources exist, there are fundamental gaps in the execution within communities that is the biggest crisis in the climate movement. Swaniti works with subnational governments to conduct microplanning exercises in consultation with communities and key stakeholders, provides technical assistance to subnational governments toward implementation and supports in monitoring and delivery of programs. A significant focus of our work within climate and governance is on preparing the private sector and communities for energy transition.

Job Summary:

Swaniti Initiative is looking for enthusiastic aspirational block fellow who has the understanding of government schemes and how it works and how in convergence with other scheme benefits can be to the beneficiaries. Their work will be focused around need assessment, situation analysis, data analysis, brainstorming with relevant stakeholders, and collaborating with the allied departments of the government.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing comprehensive reports, including economic diversification, community needs, and socio-economic profiles.
  • Collaborate with local and national government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society organizations to ensure the technical support program findings are integrated into official planning documents.
  • Work closely with local administration in areas of health, education and livelihood.
  • Act as a point of contact between partnered organizations and ensure day to day administrative tasks are performed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate meetings and check & troubleshoot problems as they arise.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the proposed solutions, providing feedback and making adjustments as needed.
  • Represent the organization in workshops, meetings, and other platforms as required
Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Rural Development/ Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in public policy, socio-economic research, or community development, experience of closely working with local administration in areas of health, education and livelihood.
