ASIC Design Manager

As an ASIC Design Manager at MaxLinear, you will be part of the Digital ASIC Design group responsible for developing innovative ASIC solutions across various domains such as wired and wireless communications, storage, and networking. Your role will involve managing, mentoring, and guiding a high-performance team in architecting and designing advanced digital components like signal processing modules, network processors, hardware accelerators, and interface controllers. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading and mentoring a team of digital ASIC designers across multiple projects and domains - Driving architecture and micro-architecture definition for complex digital blocks - Overseeing RTL design and conducting design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including verification, implementation, physical design, software, and systems - Translating system-level requirements into optimized ASIC implementations meeting performance, power, and area (PPA) goals - Establishing and improving design processes to enhance quality and execution efficiency - Managing project schedules, risks, and resource allocation - Fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning Qualifications required for this role include: - BE/M.Tech in Electronics Engineering - 12+ years of experience in Digital ASIC design with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role - Strong fundamentals in digital logic design, CMOS technology, and ASIC design methodology - Proven expertise in ASIC architecture, micro-architecture, RTL design (Verilog/VHDL), synthesis, Static Timing Analysis (STA), CPU architecture, SoC systems, and programming fundamentals - Demonstrated ability to convert engineering requirements into robust ASIC solutions meeting PPA targets - Experience in project and people management, including performance development and team building - Proficiency in industry-standard design and verification methodologies - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Passion for learning, engineering great solutions, and bringing out the best in people MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) focused on improving communication networks through highly integrated semiconductor solutions.
