AS400 with Mainframe Developer
Job Title: Developer
Experience: 6-8 YearsWork Location: Chennai, TN|| Pune, MH || Indore, MP|| Hyderabad, TS || Bangalore, KA || Noida, UPSkill Required: AS400_CLP~AS400_RPG~Mainframe DB2 - Application DevelopmentJob Description:1. Ensure deliverables meet business/client expectations and quality standards.2. Status Reporting and highlighting risk on time3. Perform all work to agreed time, cost and quality constraints, audit specification, internal controls and standards.
Essential Skills:
1. Minimum 2 years of development industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.2. Extensive Knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE which also means working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG including Modules, Service Programs etc.3. Knowledge of effort estimation and testing. Should be experienced in writing comprehensive Unit Test Cases / Plans. Able to execute & coordinate SIT & UAT with other vendor and Project Implementation4. Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development5. Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs6. Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.7. Should have good English communication and experience in multi culture work environment.8. Should be able to work with minimal supervision.
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience in Insurance domain (preferred in Life insurance domain).2. Can work as part of the larger team to ensure satisfactory deliveries.3. Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.4. Self-motivated, flexible, responsible and a desire for quality.
