About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Art Consultant with proven experience in art acquisition, authentication, maintenance, and scouting. The ideal candidate must have a strong background working with established art galleries, private collections, or art establishments, and bring expertise in identifying emerging talent as well as managing high-value collections.

Key Responsibilities

Art Acquisition & Advisory: Identify, evaluate, and recommend artworks for purchase, exhibitions, or collections in alignment with organizational/collector objectives.

Authentication & Provenance Verification: Conduct due diligence and authenticate artworks through expert knowledge, market research, and collaboration with trusted networks.

Art Scouting & Market Intelligence: Track emerging and established artists, attend art fairs/exhibitions, and develop relationships with galleries, dealers, and curators.

Collection Maintenance & Curation: Oversee proper handling, storage, conservation, and display of artworks to ensure long-term preservation.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Provide strategic advisory to stakeholders on investments in art, curating collections, and creating value appreciation.

Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of acquisitions, provenance documents, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in art trade.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in art consultancy, galleries, or art establishments.
• Strong knowledge of Indian and International contemporary art markets.
• Expertise in authentication, provenance research, and valuation of artworks.
• Established network with artists, galleries, collectors, and auction houses.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel for exhibitions, fairs, and scouting assignments.
