Job Description

You will be joining a growth-focused company operating in the Office & School Stationery and Consumables sector, distributing branded products across retail, institutional, and wholesale channels. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following: - Own assigned territory P&L and plan sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets for stationery products. - Build and manage relationships with distributors, modern trade, retailers, and institutional buyers to expand distribution. - Drive trade-promotions and in-store merchandising activities to increase visibility and SKU productivity. - Implement route-to-market strategies including territory mapping and retail coverage optimization. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to develop actionable plans. - Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasts in CRM and coordinate timely order fulfillment. In terms of skills & qualifications, you must have experience in Territory Management, Key Account Management, Distributor Management, Channel Sales, Trade Marketing, CRM (Salesforce), Sales Forecasting, and Retail Merchandising. Preferred qualifications include experience with modern trade & institutional sales, familiarity with stationery/CPG product categories, and working knowledge of distributor credit management. You should have proven field sales experience in territory/channel roles, preferably in stationery, FMCG, or distributorship businesses, and be comfortable with extensive travel and on-ground customer interactions.
