Digital Platform Architecture Strategy
- Define and own the digital platform architecture vision, principles, and target-state roadmap aligned with the companys digital and growth strategy.
- Establish a scalable, reusable digital platform layer including experience, integration, orchestration, data, and shared services.
- Clearly separate platform capabilities from core insurance systems to enable faster innovation and reduced core dependency.
- Define reference architectures for channels, APIs, integration, security, and data across the architectural ecosystem.
Platform Governance & Design Authority
- Act as the design authority for all digital platform initiatives, products, and shared services.
- Ensure consistent use of platform components, APIs, and standards across digital programs.
- Lead architecture review boards focused on platform reuse, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Govern technology selection to avoid fragmentation and duplication across digital initiatives.
Digital Platform Build & Transformation
- Lead the design and evolution of a cloud-native digital platform supporting web, mobile, agent, partner, and embedded insurance journeys.
- Architect API-first, event-driven, and microservices-based platforms to enable rapid onboarding of partners and InsurTech ecosystems.
- Define orchestration layers to decouple digital journeys from core policy, claims, underwriting, and billing systems.
- SRE practices to support high availability and scale in a private insurance environment in India.
Platform Data, Analytics & Emerging Technologies
- Define platform-centric data architecture enabling real-time data exchange, analytics, and AI/ML use cases.
- Enable shared data services for personalization, fraud detection, pricing, and operational intelligence.
- Ensure platform-level data governance, privacy, and lineage across all digital channels.
- Evaluate emerging technologies that enhance platform extensibility, resilience, and developer productivity.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure architectures comply with IRDAI regulations, data localization requirements, and Indian IT/security guidelines.
- Embed security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles across customer, partner, and internal platforms.
- Design for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity aligned to insurance operational risk standards.
- Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Information Security teams to proactively mitigate architectural risks.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CDO, CEO, and business heads on digital and technology strategy.
