Architect – SAP AI Core/ Generative AI Hub Meet Our Team SAP AI Core Product Engineering Team is part of the SAP Business AI unit and one of the key drivers of the Intelligent Enterprise. Our vision for AI Core is to provide a hub that offers a seamless end-to-end journey for product engineering teams in SAP and our ecosystem accelerating time to market value for AI developments. We are responsible for foundational products such as SAP Generative AI Hub, AI Core and AI Launchpad that help application AI Developers infuse AI capabilities in their existing products and as new AI-first product faster. Our teams are located in Germany, Singapore, and India, exemplifying an innovative, start-up-like work environment. What You'll Do As an A rchitect, you will lead the technical design and architecture of AI Core, ensuring that systems are robust, scalable, and efficient. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and product standards. Author clear technical documentation and presentations in collaboration with product engineers and architects to communicate architecture and design options to educate engineering teams and product managers. You will have a great opportunity to learn and work on emerging technologies, solving high impact real-world problems at the intersection of Cloud, DevOps, and Artificial Intelligence which is a strategic priority for SAP. Your tasks will include: A rchitect and Design AI Core Features: Lead the end-to-end architecture of AI solutions and platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. D rive Innovation: Lead the evaluation, design, and integration of cutting-edge AI technologies, with a focus on generative AI, machine learning, and cloud-native architectures C ollaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps engineers, and AI researchers to create a unified technical vision and drive high-impact projects. O ptimize System Performance: Ensure that systems are optimized for large-scale data processing, AI workloads, and high availability. M entor and Inspire Teams: Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving best practices for software architecture and full stack development. S trategize Future Growth: Work with Product Leaders and management to align technical strategies with business goals, identifying expansion opportunities O versee Quality and Security: Ensure that systems meet the highest standards for security, performance, and scalability. Lead code reviews, architecture audits, and system evaluations. E xplore, understand, and implement most recent technologies and approaches for enhancing the value and adoption of AICore. W hat You Bring D egree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Master’s degree preferred 1 0+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with a focus on cloud-based AI solutions. S ound experience leading teams and architecting complex systems with real-world AI applications. S trong expertise in cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI technologies. H ands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and SAP Business Technology Platform. P roficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript D eep understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and orchestration tools like Jenkins, Helm, Istio, and Argo F oundation in AI and machine learning model integration, particularly generative AI, and large language models (LLMs) P roven track record in technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across global, distributed teams. A bility to tackle complex architectural problems and deliver innovative solutions under tight deadlines. N ice to have E xperience in developing AI tools or frameworks, especially in enterprise contexts.
