Description
The role involves being responsible for the overall design and coordination of projects and teams. You will collaborate with Design Managers and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production. Leading design efforts and client presentations, as well as supporting client relationships will be key responsibilities. You will work closely with Design Managers to ensure project delivery within set timelines. Coordination with consultants and resolving complex design issues using innovative solutions will be part of your role. Mentoring junior and intermediate design staff, producing graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings are also important tasks. You will oversee the development of design throughout design development and construction drawings. Additionally, you will assist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination. Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs, as well as participating in firm marketing, industry events, and project interviews will be expected. Collaborating with design talent across the firm to enhance the quality of work is essential. You must be able to plan ahead, anticipate project needs, and maintain goals and objectives on behalf of all project team members. Strong follow-through on agenda items and project issues to achieve a high level of design is crucial. Key skills include being a motivated self-starter with problem-solving abilities both individually and as part of a team. Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Sketchup, Photoshop, and InDesign is required. Knowledge of Bluebeam, materials, construction techniques, and building codes is essential. Strong presentation, organizational, and multitasking skills are necessary. You should possess strong graphic and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas. Maintaining existing client relationships and building new ones is important. A deep understanding and experience with urban, resort, and/or mixed-use hospitality projects are desired. A BArch Degree, high technical competence, and a thorough understanding of building systems are also required.,
