Job Description

As a Design Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall design and coordination of projects and teams. Your key responsibilities will include: - Working with Design Managers and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production. - Leading design efforts and client presentations while supporting client relationships. - Collaborating with Design Managers to ensure timely project delivery. - Coordinating with consultants and resolving complex design issues with innovative solutions. - Mentoring junior and intermediate design staff. - Producing graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings. - Overseeing design development throughout the construction phase. - Assisting in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination. - Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs. - Participating in firm marketing, industry events, and project interviews. - Collaborating with design talent across the firm to enhance overall work quality. - Planning ahead and anticipating project needs to maintain project goals and objectives. - Executing strong follow-through on agenda items and project issues to achieve high design standards. Skills required for this role include: - Motivated self-starter with problem-solving abilities individually and as part of a team. - Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Sketchup, Photoshop, and InDesign. - Understanding of Bluebeam and knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes. - Strong presentation, organizational, and multitasking skills. - Excellent graphic and visualization skills for effective design communication. - Ability to maintain and build client relationships. - Deep understanding and experience with urban, resort, and mixed-use hospitality projects. - Hold a BArch Degree with a high level of technical competence and understanding of building systems.
